Predicting ECAP misorientation evolution and its influence on superplasticity for an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy

Abstract. Extensive research on severe plastic deformation (SPD) of metallic materials has been performed so far in order to improve mechanical properties, both at low and high temperatures. As a result the extensive grain refinement obtained, increased superplastic behaviour attained higher strains rates lower temperatures than usual. This is due finer sizes average misorientations which enhance boundary sliding (GBS). However, misorientation effect superplasticity, prediction evolution during SPD remained far, qualitative. In this research, especial attention given quantitative with increasing equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) deformation, propose an expression useful describe predict influence different processing parameters strain. exemplified for ECAPed Al-Zn-Mg-Cu other aluminium alloys, it could serve as basis predicting evolution, its processes alloys.
